The house is much quieter this week. Sis has been in Cambodia since last week and my grandma is on a vacation to Auckland for 2 weeks followed by Melbourne for a week.

Now granny doesn't like travelling and is quite a homely person. She doesn't take public transport except for the taxi home after church on Sundays and the only place she travels on foot would be to the market and back. So my parents and aunt have to bluff her that tickets were already booked (even without the passport) and that she had to go for the trip.

Even after the trip was booked, she tried to give all sorts of excuses not to go. Like she's worried that no one will cook for us, clean the house for us, iron my uniform (yes, the exact thing she said and got worried over). With all the assurance given that we'll be able to cope, she still is worried. The day she depart, in the morning she went to the market and bought food to stock up in the fridge.

She also cooked a big pot of soup stock. And I really mean a BIG pot. After we sent her off that night, I went home trying to look for that pot. I opened all the fridge trying to look for the pot but I couldn't. Only when my mom came back, she said they have been frozen into ice bags and stored till we need.

Today's dinner was 'ok la'. But I guess comparing to the spread and yummyliciousness that granny would cook, we're nowhere near there. And all the cleaning up and household chores are well, quite lazy to do after a long day. Hopefully we'll adjust quick enough. And once sis is back, hopefully she can whip up some wonderful dishes with her skills acquired when she was in Germany.

I miss Granny. =/
