Helloooo Weekend!

First week of attachment is over! 14 weeks more to go. And I'm like the officeboy. It's confirmed that I'll be working for Procurement in the morning and after lunch, I'll be down in Productions. It's damn tiring facing the screen for like the whole day. There's no break from the computer.

Microsoft Excel and M**** are my new best friends now. I see spreadsheets every minute of the day. And Movex, their program to track stocks of the goods, raw materials and what-have-you is a damn complicated software. And it's damn lag.

Have to complete lots of data entries for Productions. I have to input data of (i think) at least 5 years. I was done with this year's data, from Jan to Aug when Alvin, Production's Assisstant Manager, told me to prepare a spreadsheet for 2006 and that he'll be there shortly. He never came. But Alex, another of Production's big boss said he wanted a 'time duration' column to calculate the time spent to manufacture the products. It could've been easy if Excel made my life easier. But it can't calculate time that has crossed more than 24 hours. So I have to do it manually and it is so tedious. After a while, I find myself falling asleep amidst all the noise coming from the Packaging room even though it's just next door and I'm in an airlock room. Hopefully things will be more interesting for me in Productions rather than doing monotonous data entry.

The people in Procurement are nice. And Teochew is becoming one of my language of conversation in that department these few days. Generally, the people there are quite ok. People keep getting me mixed up with Jack from QA because of our similar built and hairstyle.

I finally understand why they say working life has no life. It practically drains your energy away so much so that you have no more strength for social life. Here's a typical work day for me:
- Wake up at 5.30
- Walk to the bus stop to take company bus
- Sleep on the way to work
- Have breakfast
- Start work
- Lunch
- Work
- Bus journey home
- Have dinner (and probably fall alseep on the couch after that)
- Go online for awhile
- Sleep by 10 or 11.

and the cycle repeats throughout the whole week (except for Thursdays). Looks like my exercise regime would have to be put on hold. And ya. I've been putting off my crunches too. Zeke is probably tired of getting me to do crunches every night.

Time to get rest now. And to enjoy the weekend before week 2 of IAP starts. *groans*
